Management Reports have landed: what’s new and what’s to come

At the end of 2024, we decided to embark on a mission to supercharge client reporting in FreeAgent. We started with smoother, more flexible updates to our existing reports, making it easier than ever for Partners to find the insights that matter.

Now, we’re thrilled to unveil the next big step in that journey: Management Reports.

This brand-new functionality marks a major evolution in reporting in FreeAgent. With Management Reports, FreeAgent Partners can easily collate and customise key financial reports around the unique needs of each client. Whether you’re guiding strategic decisions or keeping a finger on the pulse of business performance, these reports give users the power to deliver deeper insights - and more value - than ever before.

And the best part? This is just the beginning.

What’s new?

The first release of Management Reports includes a powerful suite of reports that practices know and trust, now combined in one polished package.

The new functionality enables users to filter the reports to show data yearly, quarterly or monthly as well as get a comparative view of different periods or date ranges - ideal for spotting trends, highlighting shifts, and making proactive decisions.

Let’s take a closer look:

• Executive Summary: think of this as the highlight reel - a curated overview that lets stakeholders get the gist at a glance and make informed calls without sifting through detail.

• Profit & Loss: a familiar friend, now even easier to interpret. See income, expenses, and net profit/loss for clients’ businesses in the selected time frame.

• Balance Sheet: gives a clear picture of what the business owns and owes at any given moment - assets, liabilities, and equity all in one place.

• Aged Debtors & Creditors: instantly see who owes what (and when), whether that be the client or their customers, complete with breakdowns and VAT if registered. 

• Notes: add custom notes at the beginning of the exported report - handy for setting the scene or highlighting key messages.

Finally, you can add a professional finishing touch by including a front cover with a title, author and date.
