FuseSign named Xero Practice App of the Year for Ireland

FuseSign has been named Ireland Practice App of the Year at the Xero Global App Awards 2026.

The award recognises apps that empower accounting and bookkeeping practices through meaningful, regionally relevant impact. For Irish firms, that impact is clearest in the everyday workflows that sit between completed work and the next deadline.

Getting documents signed can appear to be a simple final step. In practice, firms may need to send several documents to multiple recipients, control who can see and sign each file, track outstanding actions and return the completed pack to the correct client record.

When those steps depend on email attachments, printing and scanning, small delays can quickly become repeated follow-up and manual filing for the practice.

FuseSign is designed around these accounting-specific requirements. It allows firms to combine documents into one signing request, assign the correct actions to each recipient and connect the completed documents to the wider practice workflow.

The experience of Jefferson Accounting & Tax provides a practical Irish example. The Wicklow-based firm supports several hundred SMEs and prepares approximately 100 sets of company accounts and 200 income tax returns each year.

Before using FuseSign, Jefferson sent documents as PDF attachments and asked clients to print, sign, scan and return them. The process became particularly difficult when several directors in different locations needed to sign the same accounts pack.

Jefferson now uses FuseSign with FYI to manage multiple documents, recipients and signing requirements in one connected process. Once every recipient has completed their part, the signed documents return to the relevant client file in FYI.

Managing Director Jeff Byrne says a full set of accounts can be signed through FuseSign and filed in FYI within five minutes when all recipients are ready. The same process could take days when documents were sent through the post.

The workflow also allows the team to keep work moving when clients, directors or senior team members are away from the office. Recipients can complete their part from a phone or computer, while the practice retains visibility over what is still outstanding.

FuseSign's Xero award is an important milestone, but its practical meaning lies in experiences like Jefferson's: fewer manual steps for the firm, a clearer process for clients and less time lost between completing the work and receiving the signatures needed to move forward.
